What you'll do:

As an Assistant Sales Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the company's growth in the North. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, negotiating deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your excellent relationship-building skills will be utilized as you develop strong connections with customers within your assigned area. You'll also work closely with various stakeholders, including developers, design consultants, general contractors, subcontractors, among others. Your ability to generate leads and share sales opportunities across the team will be key to meeting budgeted sales targets. Additionally, you'll manage customer complaints effectively by liaising with relevant internal departments.

  • Develop and build strong relationships with customers within the assigned area.
  • Establish and coordinate relationships at multiple levels between various stakeholders.
  • Strengthen the company's market position within the assigned customer base or territory.
  • Generate and share leads or sales opportunities across the sales team.
  • Manage and provide sales forecasts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints by working with relevant internal departments.
  • Record customer information and maintain up-to-date customer databases.
  • Manage channels, leads, opportunities, orders, and contracts to meet budgeted sales targets and pricing goals.
  • Validate orders to ensure alignment with negotiation outcomes, including terms and conditions, quality, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Sales Manager role brings a wealth of experience from the construction chemicals sector. With a technical background in construction engineering being highly desirable. Your experience with building materials or construction chemicals will give you an edge. Your strong skills in customer engagement, presentations, negotiations, deal closing, tender processes, after-sales services will be put to good use as you navigate through your role. Your basic understanding of contracts and financial processes will be crucial in managing channels, leads, opportunities, orders, and contracts. Your passion for sales, coupled with your energetic, proactive, and results-oriented approach will drive you to success in this role.

  • At least 2 years of experience in the construction chemicals sector.
  • A technical background in construction engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with building materials or construction chemicals is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in customer engagement, presentations, negotiations, deal closing, tender processes, after-sales services.
  • Basic understanding of contracts and financial processes.
  • Quick learner with a passion for sales.
  • Energetic, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience with CRM software is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English are a plus.
