A global manufacturing company is looking for talented Business Development Manager to join their team. In this job, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities with existing and new clients, initiating and maintaining good business relation with key decision makers of active clients and establish new client potential to grow the lifestyle business profitably in accordance to a systematic business development plan.
About the Business Development Manager Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development, delivering the highest quality service alongside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define applications, markets, customers and segments the company should grow profitably
- Develop business plan with tactics, measures and milestones for successful market development and align with Global Business Management
- Prepare short & mid-term action plans by region / country / client (as applicable) and execute activities accordingly
- Efficient planning of business trips and substantial travelling
- Follow up existing and new business opportunities, set up meetings and establish/maintain professional business relationship
- Provide informative reporting about progress, corrective actions etc. along reporting lines within CRM tool
- Planning and preparing professional presentations
- Communication of new product developments to prospective clients
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature and evaluate participation to exhibitions and related events.
- Actively participate in related associations
- Provide management and other sales functions with feedback about market developments (clients, products, competition etc.)
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
- University, Master or Bachelor degree in economics or other relevant education
- Proven sales experience (ideally of products with technical characteristics)
- Ideally experience from lifestyle business, leather/textile accessory business or relevant suppliers
- Technical marketing orientation
- Experience in Application Engineering and Product Development is a plus
- Three to five years of experience in business development / area sales management
- Proven skills in planning and execution on sales and product or service roll-out initiatives
- Experience in systematic / continuous relationship building and networking
- Project management experience
- Good business sense, hunting spirit, strong communication, negotiation & presentation skills
- Proactive mindset, self-driven, initiative, persuasive, assertive
