A global chemicals manufacturing company is looking for talented Sales Manager to take a newly created role.

About the Sales Manager Role:

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development, delivering the highest quality service alongside.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helps achieving long-term organisational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Work with the internal team and local business manager to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue for the assigned business in Asia. To achieve this, need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future
  • Support the management of existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive
  • Often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict our clients’ future needs
  • Work in collaboration with technical manager when technical expertise is required
  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients
  • Must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients
  • Develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship
  • Cross function communication internal to make sure the supply to Asia market
  • Work closely with global technical team to develop new products to meet local market needs
  • Hold regular meetings with Asia teams to track the business status
  • Offer support to subordinates to develop them

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree on chemical engineering
  • More than five years of technical background on chemical industry
  • Commercial skill (persuasive skills, good looking and good talking)
  • Self-motivation, independence, quick learning, problem solving, multi-cultural contacts
  • Willing to travel frequently
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communications
