A global fertiliser manufacturer is looking for a self-motivated and dynamic Technical Sales Manager to drive growth and expansion of speciality fertiliser in Vietnam.
About the Technical Sales Manager Role:
This position includes sales and technical consulting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing business in Vietnam
- Develop and create demand for the company products
- Expand the distribution network in Vietnam by identifying and developing new customers, new distributors and new markets
- Introduce and market new product and expansion of existing categories
- Develop annual sales plan and long term strategic growth plan
- Actively support distributors in the areas of marketing, business development and agronomic support
- Initiate, design, implement and manage field trials to support sales and growth
- Provide technical training on product and applications to distributors and growers
- Conduct field visit, agronomic service and give seminars to growers and plantations
- Acquire technical knowledge of company products and manufacturing capabilities
- Substantially increase sales in Vietnam in order to reach or surpass the company fiscal budget
- Development of an annual budget and action plan in coordination with Business Lead
- Monitor competitors pricing schemes and market activities
- Provide monthly activities flash report
To succeed in this role, the candidate must have a solid background in fertiliser sales and intimate knowledge of fertiliser and agriculture market in Vietnam
Key Requirements:
- University degree in agriculture, plant nutrition or other related disciplines with a minimum of five years' experience in a technical sales and business development role
- Past or current experience in fertiliser sales and marketing or agronomic service, preferably with an international company
- Experience in water soluble fertilisers and premium fertiliser products a strong plus
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge in fertiliser and plant nutrition
- Hands on agronomic field service expertise in open field agriculture, in particular tropical crops. Experience in design and setup of agriculture field trials a plus
- Consultative selling experience and a proven track record in sales management
- Good coaching skills, and able to comfortably interact with distributors, Ag retailers, growers, plantation owners and agronomists
- Self-driven, self-motivated. Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Good English proficiency
- Good computer skill especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Valid driving license
- Availability to travel frequently
