A rapidly expanding chemicals company is looking for talented Business Development Manager in Hanoi to take a newly created role. You will be primarily responsible for selling, speciality chemicals, equipment, consultancy and associated services from leads generated from the company as well as leads from other resources.

About the Business Development Manager Role:

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development, delivering the highest quality service alongside.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chemical engineering Bachelor or equivalent. As we are offering comprehensive solution, candidate must have strong based technical selling skill to suit for this position
• Min five years working experience in selling technical products (preferred water treatment) to Heavy industry (Mining, Power Plants, Primary Metal (BMI), Fertilizer, Global Chemical, steel)
• Drive new customer acquisition & highly self-motivated to win new businesses
• Understanding of production engineering and utilities system is highly preferred
• Develop a sales pyramid in CRM, lead follow-up and proposal generation for the sale of capital, injection skid and dosing equipment, mobile, service contracts and expendables
• Close sales by generating and executing sales plans in assigned territory, possibly the whole of Vietnam
• Evaluate all revenue generating opportunities prospect and make proposals as appropriate
• Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
• Creating and reaching customer agreement on value propositions that focus on our competitive advantage derived from our broad product portfolio and have strong focus on value selling
• Provide effective technical recommendations to resolve operational issues and generate reports documenting the value of our equipment & services
• Meet sales targets by meeting or exceeding key metrics for revenue, account retention & profitability

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree. Engineering degree preferred (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial)
• Six years successful technical sales or outside sales experience utilising a consultative sales approach
• Preferred prior experience working in or familiarity with industrial environments
• A strong command in English is a must. Other spoken languages: Mandarin, Japanese and/or Korean would be a clear advantage
