About the Head of Business Development Role:

Head of BD will play a pivotal role in leading & shaping the business development and community-building efforts within our investment portfolio. This role will report directly to Chairman and involves building&managing a high-performing team, developing and executing strategies for business growth, fostering a vibrant community around our portfolio founders, and leveraging technology to enhance our investment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our investment portfolio. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets. Leverage data analytics and market insights to make informed decisions
• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of business development professionals. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
• Develop and implement training programs for the team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and ensure the team's continuous growth
• Create and nurture a strong, supportive community among our portfolio founders. Organise events, workshops, and networking opportunities to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Deep Knowledge of Private Business: proven track record of deep understanding of private business operations and investment practices. Familiarity with various industry sectors and their unique challenges
• Experience in Business Transformation: significant experience in driving business transformation and growth. Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement strategic initiatives
• Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills with a history of successfully building and managing high-performing teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Community Building: previous experience in fostering communities or networks, particularly in the business or investment space. A natural connector with the ability to build relationships and networks
• Technology Savvy: proficiency in utilising technology and data analytics to enhance business operations. Familiarity with relevant software and tools for business development
• Strategic Thinker: proven ability to think strategically, make data-driven decisions, and create and execute growth plans
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master’s degree or MBA being a plus
