An exciting Sales Manager has become available at one of the most respected international trading firms based in HCMC. Reporting directly to Managing Director, this is the role for a leader in their field.
About the Sales Manager Role:
In this role, you will collaborate with the country team to formulate both short- and long-term sales strategies and plans for the company within the market, overseeing their effective implementation.

Define the primary supplier and customer markets in the country, conduct a thorough analysis of the competitive landscape, and establish a go-to-market strategy
Identify and explore new markets, devising prospecting strategies for acquiring new customers
Introduce innovative ideas to the market, collaborating with the Innovation, Applications Development, and Marketing teams to create concepts and solutions that provide company with a competitive advantage in both new and existing markets
Foster a positive work environment by developing and coaching the commercial organisation to achieve its objectives
Monitor team members to ensure effective application of coaching and training, identifying and addressing additional training needs as required
Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Finance teams to enhance forecast accuracy and optimise return on working capital
Partner with the Portfolio Management team to pinpoint key suppliers and curate an appealing product portfolio for our customers
Collaborate with sales and various functional areas to ensure seamless, 100% customer satisfaction
Conduct periodic meetings and reviews to track the progress of the business plan
Identify training needs and skill gaps, providing appropriate coaching and on-the-job training to develop team members toward achieving common goals
Attain profit and loss objectives for the business in the specified market, along with meeting related key performance indicators (KPIs).
A Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, or a related qualification
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in the paint and material supply sector for the paint industry, with at least five years in managerial roles
Strong expertise in solution/value selling
Proven leadership skills, with a track record of coaching and developing teams to achieve objectives
Ability to set priorities and objectives and collaborate with the team to deliver results
Strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach
Solid financial acumen with robust analytical abilities
