What you'll do:

  • Execute trading strategies designed to optimise profitability while carefully managing risk within the coffee sector.
  • Monitor inventory levels consistently to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of contracts, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Collaborate closely with research and development, logistics, and supply chain teams to coordinate the smooth flow of goods from farm to roaster.
  • Stay informed about global market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply-demand factors related to soluble coffee through thorough market research.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify potential opportunities for growth as well as risks that may affect trading operations.
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts with suppliers and customers, ensuring favourable terms while adhering strictly to regulations and company policies.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with coffee suppliers and buyers to maintain a reliable and diversified network supporting trading activities.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management strategies aimed at mitigating price fluctuations and market uncertainties within the supply chain.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations detailing trading performance, market insights, and recommendations for strategic adjustments.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and quality assurance to ensure seamless execution of trading operations.
  • Identify new customers, open up new markets across Asia, and ensure achievement of sales targets along with consistent growth rates.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills enabling you to clarify complex points effectively when interacting internally or externally.
  • Proven ability in relationship management that fosters trustful connections with clients, suppliers, buyers, and colleagues alike.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit combined with commercial acumen allowing you to spot opportunities for growth within competitive environments.
  • Exceptional service delivery skills paired with a deep understanding of client needs within FMCG or logistics sectors.
  • Strong negotiation abilities supported by interpersonal skills that help build mutually beneficial agreements with partners across the supply chain.
  • Minimum ten years’ experience in logistics or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), ideally focused on instant coffee products or similar packed goods such as Private Label or Branded items.
  • Fluency in English enabling clear communication across diverse international teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Asia as required by business needs for customer engagement or market development initiatives.
