What you'll do:
As Sales Manager Projects Southeast Asia, you will be entrusted with driving business expansion throughout the region by identifying emerging opportunities and developing innovative sales pipelines. - Systematically create competitive proposals using modularisation and global sourcing methods while applying cost models to guarantee cost-effectiveness and optimal pricing strategies.
- Formulate tailored sales strategies for each project by analysing market trends and customer needs, leading final negotiations with clients to secure favourable terms and maximise profitability.
- Serve as the primary contact for key accounts in Southeast Asia, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships through regular communication and customer-centric events.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis covering market size, growth potential, competition, and customer behaviour to inform business decisions and support targeted marketing efforts.
- Maintain accurate data management within the CRM system by regularly reviewing project information, entering scope of supply details promptly after project finalisation, and ensuring effective sales tracking.
- Act as the key liaison with local offices, agents, industry associations, officials, and internal teams to foster positive relationships that support business operations across the region.
- Enhance brand presence in the SEA market through active participation in customer events, trade shows, expositions, and regular interactions that showcase products and generate leads.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as application specialists, technology experts, product managers, management, and OTC to ensure smooth project implementation.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Science or Engineering is required for this role; advanced qualifications are highly valued.
- At least five years’ experience in sales within an industrial field is essential; familiarity with the paper industry or Southeast Asian markets is particularly advantageous.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (both verbal and written)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are crucial for developing effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across diverse cultures.
- Proficiency in market analysis methods and tools is necessary alongside deep understanding of sales strategy formulation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently while responding positively to various challenges under pressure.
