What you'll do:


As Regional Sales Manager, you will play an integral part in shaping the direction of pharmaceutical sales operations in Northern Vietnam. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve guiding a talented team of medical representatives towards achieving ambitious business goals while upholding ethical standards. You will collaborate closely with marketing colleagues to understand customer needs and design targeted engagement strategies. By nurturing talent within your team through coaching sessions and tailored training programmes, you will foster an environment where everyone can excel. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you monitor market trends, evaluate performance data, and recommend improvements that drive sustainable growth. Building lasting relationships with key accounts—including pharmacy chains and hospitals—will be central to your success. * Guide and manage a diverse team of medical representatives who engage both physicians and pharmacies to achieve ambitious brand targets within the assigned territory.
* Monitor country-wide and local performance against set objectives, identifying key opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to maximise results.
* Collaborate with marketing teams to identify relevant customer groups—including key opinion leaders—understand their needs, and tailor engagement approaches accordingly.
* Recruit, nurture, and retain a high-performing field force by fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and shared success.
* Implement segmentation and targeting strategies while establishing clear KPIs for each team member; regularly assess progress and reward achievements based on transparent criteria.
* Provide face-to-face coaching for representatives through regular field visits, supporting their professional development and ensuring best practices are consistently applied.
* Oversee the effective use of CRM systems to enhance customer relationship management and ensure accurate reporting across all activities.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by refining customer segmentation tools, enhancing field force effectiveness methodologies, and analysing monthly performance data to identify trends.
* Contribute to annual budgeting processes, strategic planning sessions, and operating plan development; translate these into actionable items for the field force team.
* Build strong networks with major customers such as pharmacy chains, purchasing groups, hospitals, distributors, and other stakeholders to maximise profitable business growth.


What you bring:


To excel as Regional Sales Manager in this forward-thinking healthcare organisation, you will bring substantial experience from OTC or FMCG sectors along with an in-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese marketplace. Your background should include successful management of key accounts as well as hands-on involvement in executing marketing strategies at retail points of sale. * Deep understanding of local market dynamics including major customers, key stakeholders, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements.
* Proven track record in key account management with the ability to build trust-based relationships across multiple functions.
* Experience implementing marketing strategies through merchandising activities at point-of-sale locations (sell-in/sell-out frameworks).
* Fluency in both spoken and written English as well as Vietnamese is essential for effective communication across teams.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, coaching, influencing, negotiation abilities; able to foster collaboration within diverse teams.
* Strategic thinking capabilities—able to analyse complex situations, identify issues/opportunities quickly, and develop multifaceted solutions that benefit all parties involved.
* Strong analytical mindset combined with numerical proficiency; adept at using Excel, PowerPoint, Word for planning/reporting purposes.
* Outstanding organisational skills with proven ability to deliver results within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
