Business Manager - Coatings & Constructions Chemicals

A global leading company in sales, marketing and distribution of speciality chemicals and ingredients is looking for talented Business Manager to join the team.

About the Business Manager Role:

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development, delivering the highest quality service alongside.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the business unit coatings & construction, which includes profit responsibility and will drive the business within the framework of the unit’s business objectives and business group strategy
• Responsible for the commercial aspects, including sales, marketing, business development, operations, and communications of the business unit, as well as technical support to customers
• Maintain good talent, motivate, and develop the team within business group coatings & construction
• Manage key principals’ relationships, to further growth the business
• Identify potential strategic suppliers to fill portfolio gaps in the coatings & construction segments
• With support of marketing team, actively play a more important role for digitalization of our business and market activities
• Assist senior management to identify and involve discussion with suitable acquisition targets in given business market

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Vietnamese National with fluent Vietnamese, good written and spoken English is a necessity
• University degree in Chemicals or polymer science, MBA will be a plus
• Good market understanding and great network in coatings and construction industry
• At least 15 years' experience in Coating materials manufacturing or chemical distribution companies, preferable in foreign enterprise, 5 years’ team management experience will be a plus
• Must be honest, reliable, highly motivated, and able to work independently
• Excellent leadership skills to inspire, motivate and train a team of commercial and technical employees to reach their potential
• Must have ability to communicate efficiently and possess excellent interpersonal skills, very good computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office package, internet, email, CRM), career-minded, well organised, good coordination skills)
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing industry dynamics and redirect efforts
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
