Head of Japan Desk

A world-leading insurance brokerage firm is looking for their Head of Japan Desk (based in Ho Chi Minh City).

About the Head of Japan Desk role:

You will report directly to the company's CEO. Your main responsibilities are to drive insurance brokerage revenue growth in all product lines and develop a clear go-to-market strategy to achieve revenue growth target of insurance products in line with the strategy and vision of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as Strategic Account Management and maintaining the top-level contact on key Japanese prospects and clients across all product lines. Strategic Account Management takes full responsibility to retain and grow clients at expected level of profitability
• Actively involving in all new Japanese business/renewal tenders as designated by the GM
• Developing and executing the “market facing” strategic broking strategy/communication, including but not limited to quote/placing slips and wordings
• Undertaking and maintaining stewardship of all audit requirements and participating Internal Audit Committee
• Training and developing talents for the company
• Other projects and tasks as designated

To succeed as Head of Japan Desk, you should have solid experience in a similar role in a Financial Services environment with strong communication skills for dealing with related external and internal parties. You should be proactive, innovative, and entrepreneurial.

Key Requirements:

• Nationality: Japanese or dual citizenship (including Japanese)
• Must have eight or more years of experience in strategic account management and handling C-suits
• Strong negotiation, customer service and business development skills
• Cross-culture adaptability and team spirit
