About the Regional Product Manager Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive growth in the flow control refractories segment across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.Your expertise in understanding market trends, customer needs, and competition will be instrumental in developing winning marketing strategies to drive product awareness, demand, and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply your in-depth expertise in flow control refractories to provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to both internal teams and customers. Act as a subject matter authority, addressing complex challenges and devising effective solutions to optimise steel casting operations
Lead and manage a regional team across multiple countries within the Southeast Asia region, fostering collaboration and ensuring the team's alignment with organisational goals
Conduct meticulous market analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential obstacles within the steel flow control segment across the regions of interest. Employ these insights to develop and refine agile market strategies
Collaborate seamlessly with our R&D teams to conceptualize, design, and create pioneering refractory products tailored meticulously to the unique demands of steel flow control processes.
Nurture and sustain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, steel mills, and distributors in the region. Gain comprehensive insights into their preferences and needs, working collaboratively with the sales team to ensure superior customer satisfaction and unwavering loyalty
Champion business growth by identifying and capitalising on fresh opportunities within the region. Forge and execute compelling sales and marketing strategies that contribute to expanding our market share
Lead workshops, seminars, and training sessions aimed at enhancing internal teams' and customers' understanding of flow control technologies. Your expertise will be pivotal in facilitating successful implementation of our refractory solutions
Develop and oversee budgets for impactful market development initiatives, ensuring fiscal prudence and maximal returns on investment
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is considered advantageous
Proven track record in the refractory industry, with specialised focus on flow control materials and their applications in steel casting processes
Comprehensive understanding of steel making processes, particularly continuous casting
Proficiency in conducting market analysis, formulating strategic plans, and navigating business development within the Asia-Pacific region
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by fluency in English. Proficiency in additional languages native to the region would be a definitive advantage
Willingness and readiness to undertake frequent travel within the designated region
