What you'll do:
As a Senior Commodity Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's business. You will be entrusted with leading a team of Commodity Managers towards achieving operational excellence. Your responsibilities will extend from recruitment to performance management, ensuring your team delivers exceptional service to both internal and external customers. You will also be instrumental in defining, developing, and implementing strategies that align with the corporate direction. Your innovative approach will be key in identifying opportunities for cost reduction through process optimisation. Your expertise in supply chain management will be crucial in managing commodities effectively.
- Influence and assist with the recruitment, interview and hire Commodity Managers
- Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis
- Coach and mentor Commodity Managers to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer
- Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results
- Provide weekly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the team
- Define, develop and implement a strategy which contributes to the corporate strategic direction
- Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems
- Demonstrate expertise in assigned commodities and fully competent in all aspects of supply chain management including commodities not directly assigned

You will have a proven track record in managing level 2 sub-assemblies, power, interconnect, backplanes etc., and level 3 system design and integration. - Proven experience in materials management with working knowledge of metal and plastic fabrication at the manufacturing level
