Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Manager to lead their regional costing team. This role is pivotal in product costing, analysis, modelling, and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with both internal cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners as a key stakeholder in the product creation process to analyse and establish style family and product cost forecasting models to ensure profitability, transparency, and predictability.
What you'll do:
As a Costing Manager, your role will be central to the success of the company's sourcing and costing department. You will be responsible for leading the Southeast Asia costing team, contributing to long-term margin planning, ensuring all relevant costing systems are maintained, evolving seasonal cost reporting processes, managing team members effectively, coordinating activities related to product pricing or seasonal pricing processes, demonstrating leadership skills that provide both our internal & external team an unparalleled level of service and costing solutions. Your ability to actively promote best practices across the costing organisation will be crucial.
- Aid in developing long-term margin planning and FOB forecasting for key project strategies
- Maintain all relevant costing systems and collaborate with relevant stakeholders
- Improve the seasonal cost reporting process to assist in margin and business planning
- Take the lead in automating processes when feasible
- Supervise team members by setting clear objectives and fostering a motivating and supportive work environment
- Efficiently manage and coordinate activities related to Product Pricing or Seasonal Pricing
- Demonstrate leadership skills that provide exceptional service and costing solutions to both internal and external teams
- Actively advocate for best practices throughout the costing organization.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Costing Manager position brings a wealth of experience from the manufacturing industry along with a strong background in costing. You have a proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs. Your knowledge in sporting goods product development, production processes, coupled with your highly developed analytical strengths make you an ideal fit. Your ability to adapt and evolve in a continuously changing environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, experience with PowerBI and Data Visualization, strong organisational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, and fluency in English and Vietnamese will be key to your success in this role.
- Preference for a Bachelor's degree or higher-level education
- Minimum of 10 years experience in product costing experience
- Demonstrated success in managing change effectively
- Knowledge of sporting goods product development, production processes, and best practices is advantageous
- Exceptional analytical and logical skills
- Experience with PowerBI and Data Visualization tools is beneficial
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese languages
