What you'll do:

As a Grain Commodities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the procurement and trade of various grain products. Your excellent strategic thinking abilities will be crucial in developing effective sourcing strategies that align with the company's business goals. You will establish strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms on price, quality, and delivery, and identify cost-saving opportunities.   • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for uncontracted wet grains, dried grains, semi-processed, and processed grain products
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding new suppliers
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable terms on price, quality, and delivery
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings in the sourcing of processed grain products
  • Work with the quality assurance team to uphold high standards for all incoming grain products
  • Identify and engage new suppliers to diversify the sourcing portfolio
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to manage risks related to supply disruptions, seasonality, and market volatility
  • Uphold the company's sustainability objectives by promoting responsible sourcing practices
  • Ensure compliance with the company's environmental, ethical, and labor standards
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on procurement and trading performance, cost trends, and sourcing challenges
