What you'll do:
As a Grain Commodities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the procurement and trade of various grain products. - Develop and execute sourcing strategies for uncontracted wet grains, dried grains, semi-processed, and processed grain products
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding new suppliers
- Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable terms on price, quality, and delivery
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings in the sourcing of processed grain products
- Work with the quality assurance team to uphold high standards for all incoming grain products
- Identify and engage new suppliers to diversify the sourcing portfolio
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies to manage risks related to supply disruptions, seasonality, and market volatility
- Uphold the company's sustainability objectives by promoting responsible sourcing practices
