Costing Director (Sourcing office)

This role will be pivotal in seasonal product costing, analysis, planning, modelling and reporting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership and coaching to a multinational team across multiple offices in Asia. They will work closely with both internal cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners as a key stakeholder in the product creation process.

What you'll do:

As a Costing Director, you will be at the forefront of our client's operations. Your role will involve leading the Regional Costing team, providing continuous leadership and coaching to a multinational team across multiple offices in Asia region. You will be responsible for seasonal product costing, analysis, planning, modelling and reporting. You will also work closely with both internal cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners as a key stakeholder in the product creation process.

* Provide leadership and coaching to a multinational team
* Develop strong relationships with Manufacturing partners – evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and risks
* Establish best practices for seasonal costing, both new and carryover styles
* Evolve seasonal cost reporting process to support margin and business planning
* Manage activities related to the Product Pricing or Seasonal Pricing process
* Influence sourcing decisions by creating transparency of landed cost optimization
* Ensure the efficient exchange of knowledge and information within the internal team

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Costing Director role brings extensive experience in the manufacturing industry along with deep knowledge of product costing. You are expected to have a Bachelor’s degree or higher-level education. Your experience should include at least 10 years of product costing experience. A background in sporting goods product development, production processes, and best practices would be advantageous. You should possess highly developed analytical strengths; a keen ability for identifying and solving problems with logic mindset.

* Bachelor’s degree or higher-level education preferred
* 15+ years of experience in manufacture industry (sporting goods, sporting equipment, furniture, apparel...) and at least 10 years of product costing experience
* Knowledgeable in sporting goods product development, production processes, and best practices is a plus
* Highly developed analytical strengths; a keen ability for identifying and solving problems with logic mindset
* Ability to adapt and evolve on continuously changing environment
* Cross-culturally sensitive and agile – can connect with and effectively manage team members across different backgrounds
* Experience with PowerBI and Data Visualization is a plus
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
* Fluency in English and Vietnamese
