Procurement Lead

A leading multinational company is seeking a Procurement Lead to drive strategic sourcing and procurement operations in Vietnam.

This role is instrumental in shaping the country’s procurement agenda, delivering long-term value, resilience, and sustainability. The successful candidate will influence regional decisions while leading transformation and supplier partnerships across categories.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business growth, innovation, and sustainability goals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to regional leadership, contributing to cross-market category strategies and supplier ecosystem development.
• Lead localization initiatives, supplier consolidation, and make-or-buy decisions to enhance agility and competitiveness.

Value Creation & Innovation

• Deliver value beyond cost through supplier-enabled innovation, risk mitigation, and supply chain resilience.
• Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to integrate supplier capabilities into product development.
• Champion digital procurement tools and analytics to improve decision-making and unlock efficiencies.

Supplier & Risk Management

• Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continuity, quality, and innovation.
• Oversee supplier segmentation, performance management, and joint business planning.
• Proactively manage supply risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and market volatility.

Sustainability & Compliance

• Embed responsible sourcing principles and drive progress toward environmental and social sustainability targets.
• Ensure full compliance with internal controls, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Influence

• Act as the key procurement interface for internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, and Finance.
• Represent Vietnam’s procurement interests in regional and global networks.
• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent strategic training preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in Consumer Goods industry or manufacturing, with a strong strategic sourcing background.
• Proven track record of delivering transformation, supplier innovation, and cost leadership.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
• Proficiency in SAP, digital procurement platforms, and data analytics tools is a plus.
