An exciting Planning and Operations Director has just available at one of the multinational sourcing companies.
About the Planning and Operations Director Role:
The Planning and Operations Director will be responsible for Global Capacity Planning and PO execution to meet and exceed targeted OTP and other service levels for the brands under their portfolio. Develop a long term supply strategy with associated business processes and infrastructural requirements. Lead Operations Planning (S&OP), drive the buy process and PO execution for these brands in order to execute both short and long term goals. Develop and deploy IT systems and processes needed to achieve results. Will lead a large team of associates across a global footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global supply plans for company’s manufacturing partners and suppliers for the brands in their portfolio at annual, seasonal and monthly levels supported brand goals at targeted service levels
- Lead the S&OP and buy process. Lead the processes including content and timing
- Standardise planning processes across the organisation. Leverage technology to drive optimisation and efficiency Evaluate current processes, identify best practices and cross deploy throughout the organisation
- Optimise utilisation of supplier capacities while Identifying and resolving global capacity constraints
- Key Partner in meeting market launch dates . Work cross functionally to plan and hit targeted launch dates
- Meet and exceed global planning costs. Identify and drive cost reductions through optimising allocation decisions. Responsible for maintaining opex budgets for the team
- Collaborate with Partners to invest and upgrade capabilities and capacities to meet company’s growth and performance requirements for improving speed, flexibility, and agility
- Develop a high-performance organisation. Develop associates through education and training. Ensure Individual Development Plans are created and executed upon. Identify succession plans in each key role
- Continuously improve global planning’s employee engagement. Identify areas for improvement and create action plans. Ensure transparency with the team by reporting on areas for improvement and actions
- Identify and execute upon diversity & inclusion plans in order to drive performance across the organisation. Purposely drive hiring and employee development to improve diversity & inclusion objectives
- Build trusted relationships with the team as well as internal and external stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years at the Sr. Manager and/or Director level responsible for global supply planning within a global products organisation, DTC organisation a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines, MBA or advance degree preferred
- Experience in footwear/apparel industry preferred but is not a restriction
- Extensive knowledge of, and Leadership of the Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP) and strong background in planning systems; SAP/IBP, a plus
- Demonstrated experience in building high performance global planning teams
- Strong leadership qualities including interpersonal, communication, organisational, and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with business leaders, internal and external business partners
- Result orientation , problem solver with strong information seeking skills and attention to detail
- Strong networking skills and ability to articulate strategies, goals and objectives
- Excellent collaboration skills and executive presence
- High ethical standards
- Highly organised and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to build partnerships and influence teams
- Ability to work cross functionally and develop strong working relationships
- Cross cultural sensitivity and awareness as the incumbent will deal with global teams
