This role offers the chance to manage a full spectrum of purchasing activities, including procurement, raw materials planning, machine parts and other materials purchase local and imports, scrap sales, and vendors management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries of all purchases as well as balancing working capital. What you'll do:

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the full spectrum of purchasing activities, planning and Import Export. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from both local and overseas vendors. Your role will also involve managing the overall process for import licenses and custom clearance. You will work closely with other departments on PSI planning processes for cans and ends. Your ability to examine and re-evaluate existing contracts will be crucial in securing the most advantageous terms for the company.

  • Manage all processes related to the planning and buying of goods and services
  • Source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors
  • Manage the overall process for import license and custom clearance
  • Develop cost-effective suppliers and initiate business partnerships
  • Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure alignment with technical and commercial specifications required for the operations
  • Ensure effective use of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Procurement
  • Responsible for daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing, following up on purchase orders, delivery and shipment schedule
  • Work with other departments on PSI planning process for cans and ends
  • Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts
  • Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Supply Chain Manager role will have a Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering/ Finance/Supply Chain Management. You should have at least 5-7 years' experience in a planning, purchasing service background with good knowledge of import processes including import license applying shipment process and custom clearance process. Your ability to use a computer to compile reports, presentations and table formatting will be essential in this role. You should also have good negotiating skills, practical technical knowledge, and safety awareness.

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering/ Finance/Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in the purchasing service background
  • Good knowledge of Import process including import license applying shipment process and custom clearance process
  • Able to use computer to compile reports, presentations and table formatting
  • Knowledge of charts, graphs and trends
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Good practical technical knowledge
  • Good safety awareness
