Demand Planning Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Demand Planning Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your expertise in demand planning, logistics, operation management, finance management, and reporting.

You will be responsible for coordinating with various sales channels and marketing campaigns, managing inventory accuracy, controlling logistics costs, and providing comprehensive reports on logistics related issues. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work independently.

What you'll do:

As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our operations. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate with internal teams on demand and supply plans for various sales channels and marketing campaigns. You will review sales data to validate forecast models, ensuring that our inventory is always accurate. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in managing aging inventories and controlling stock levels. As a key liaison between the company and our partners, your excellent communication skills will ensure timely delivery according to demand. Your ability to control logistics costs while improving stock value will be invaluable. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also support line managers in improving internal processes and provide comprehensive reports on logistics-related issues.

  • Coordinate with internal teams on demand and supply plans for various sales channels and marketing campaigns
  • Review and evaluate sales data to validate and refine forecast models
  • Manage and implement tools for tracking all inbound/outbound/transfer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Control stock level and manage aging inventories/stock’s self-life
  • Act as a primary liaison between the company and Brands and Partners/Supplier to ensure on-time delivery according to demand and actual sales
  • Control and manage all logistics costs, focusing on cost of stocks improvement
  • Support line managers on improving processes internally and cooperate with Brands/external suppliers
  • Provide line managers with a full report of logistics related issues, stock-movement report, forecast on stock report

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Demand Planning Specialist role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong skill set. You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain/ Economics/ Trading or other related majors, and at least 4 years of experience in demand planning and logistics. Your proficiency in Excel, coupled with your strong numeric and analytical skills, will enable you to handle data effectively. Your ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively will be crucial in this fast-paced role. We value proactive individuals who can work independently, take responsibility, and communicate effectively.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain/ Economics/ Trading or other related majors
  • Experience in the Cosmetics/ Medical Device Trading Industry is desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Proficiency in Excel, strong numeric and analytical skills with data are required
  • At least 4 years of experience in demand planning and logistics is necessary
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks, prioritize effectively, manage time effectively
  • Proactive approach towards work is expected
  • Detail-oriented mindset is crucial
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
