Production Planning Specialist

Our client is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is primarily responsible for supporting sourcing teams on identifying and professionally managing potential risks that could impact on-time delivery at vendors located in Vietnam and other Southeast Countries.

The successful candidate will take the lead on good production planning, review vendor production capacity, and coach vendor factories to optimize inventory performance. This position also involves exploring PO lead time reduction opportunities and proactively seeking and identifying vendor / items opportunities including manufacturing process improvement and supply chain optimization.

What you'll do:

As a Production Planning Specialist, you will be instrumental in supporting our client's sourcing teams, particularly in Shanghai and Vietnam. Your role will involve identifying potential risks that could impact on-time delivery at vendors located in Vietnam and other Southeast Countries. You will take the lead on good production planning, ensuring key programs successfully launch in-store and online only. You will also review vendor production capacity for corresponding solutions, coaching vendor factories to well utilize tools to optimize inventory performance. Additionally, you will explore PO lead time reduction opportunities through vendor PO handling process analysis.

  • Systematically manage projects through effective processes
  • Conduct regular communications with sourcing teams and educate vendors to build up production planning knowledge
  • Professionally manage the capacity risk followed by flawless execution
  • Work with sourcing teams to conduct demand and selected vendor factory capacity gap analysis
  • Validate vendor improvement plan implementation progress and communicate with sourcing teams
  • Align with sourcing teams to coach selected vendor factories production efficiency improvement for related manufacturing cost reduction

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Production Planning Specialist role brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. With a college degree in mechanical engineering, industry engineering or another related major, you have spent at least 3 years working in industry engineering or factory operations. You possess a good understanding of manufacturing processes, raw material experience and product cost analysis. Your broad understanding of product development, sourcing, quality management, logistic related processes sets you apart from others. Your effective communication skills enable you to collaborate seamlessly with others.

  • College’s degree in mechanical engineering, industry engineering or another related major
  • 3+ years related experience in industry engineering or factory operations
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing process, raw material experience and product cost analysis
  • Board understanding on product development, sourcing, quality management, logistic related process
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with others
  • Independent work & self-management capability
