This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in the end-to-end merchandising process, from sourcing and purchasing materials to ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. You will be at the heart of operations, collaborating closely with buyers, factories, and internal teams to ensure that every stage of production meets exacting standards. The company is renowned for its supportive environment, commitment to professional development, and inclusive culture where your expertise will be valued and your contributions recognised. If you are looking for a position that combines responsibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact within a collaborative team, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

  • Work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your experience in merchandising and supply chain management will be highly valued and nurtured through ongoing training opportunities.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities that allow you to balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments while contributing to a team that values open communication and shared success.
  • Be part of an organisation that is committed to fostering growth leadership, supporting under-represented talent, and providing generous opportunities for professional development.

What you'll do:

As a Merchandiser based in Ho Chi Minh, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and effective communication are key. Your day-to-day activities will involve preparing quotations in collaboration with buyers and factories; sourcing materials; following up on orders; balancing trim sheets; collecting buyer instructions; liaising with factory departments; monitoring sample approvals; overseeing production progress; resolving any issues that arise; maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office tools; and supporting ongoing improvements. Success in this role requires you to build strong relationships across teams while ensuring every aspect of the merchandising process runs smoothly from start to finish. Your ability to multitask under tight deadlines will be essential as you help deliver high-quality products on time.

  • Prepare detailed quotations by working closely with buyers and factories to finalise competitive prices that meet both quality and cost requirements.
  • Source, purchase, follow up on, check, and control materials and components throughout the entire process to ensure they align with quality standards, budget constraints, and lead time expectations for bulk production stages.
  • Balance the trims sheet effectively by coordinating with relevant departments to guarantee all necessary materials are accounted for and available when needed.
  • Monitor the status of orders from inception through shipment by overseeing fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, checking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Collect comprehensive information and instructions from buyers before co-operating with factory departments to fulfil all style, order details, sample requirements, production schedules, delivery timelines, packing specifications, quality benchmarks, and shipping instructions.
  • Follow up diligently on samples required for pre-production with factories while managing sample approval status with buyers prior to commencing bulk production (including proto samples, washing samples, pre-production samples).
  • Oversee production activities daily by identifying potential issues early on and working collaboratively with factory teams to resolve them promptly until products are ready for shipment.
  • Maintain clear communication channels between buyers and factory departments to ensure all parties are aligned on expectations regarding product specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as sourcing platforms efficiently to manage documentation and reporting tasks related to merchandising activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing feedback from each production cycle with relevant stakeholders to enhance future processes.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Merchandiser role brings extensive experience gained over at least ten years within merchandising or supply chain management positions—preferably across soft goods or related sectors. Your background demonstrates not only technical proficiency but also an empathetic approach towards building lasting partnerships both internally and externally. You possess advanced English language abilities which facilitate clear communication across global networks. Your comfort with digital tools like Microsoft Office enables you to handle complex data sets efficiently while keeping thorough records. A natural collaborator at heart, you thrive when working alongside others towards shared goals—always mindful of deadlines yet never sacrificing quality or attention to detail. Your understanding of industry best practices around procurement and quality assurance further strengthens your ability to contribute meaningfully from day one.

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field is required for this position.
  • A minimum of 10 years' proven experience in merchandising, sourcing or supply chain management roles within relevant industries such as soft goods, bags, shoes, apparel or packaging is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating effectively with suppliers and partners while maintaining positive working relationships across diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) are necessary for successful collaboration with international clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data analysis/reporting purposes as well as Word/PowerPoint for documentation is expected.
  • Experience using sourcing platforms efficiently to identify reliable suppliers and manage procurement processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while prioritising competing demands under tight deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy is crucial.
  • Strong organisational skills combined with meticulous attention to detail enable you to track multiple projects simultaneously from quotation through shipment stages.
  • A collaborative approach that fosters teamwork among buyers, factory staff and other stakeholders ensures smooth execution of complex projects.
