Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Planning Lead to join a global organisation in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment, where your expertise in supply chain management will directly impact customer satisfaction and business success. As the Supply Planning Lead, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless stock replenishment, optimising inventory levels, and maintaining master data accuracy for the Vietnam market. You will be empowered to drive process improvements, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The organisation values flexibility, inclusivity, and professional growth, offering you the chance to develop your skills within an international context while making a meaningful difference every day.

  • Play a key role in shaping supply planning processes for the Vietnam market by managing inventory, master data, and order fulfilment with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure products are available to meet customer demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Enjoy a supportive workplace culture that encourages knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a global network.

What you'll do:

As a Supply Planning Lead based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for supply planning activities tailored specifically for the Vietnam market. Your daily focus will include developing robust replenishment strategies that guarantee product availability for customers while keeping inventory levels optimised. By working hand-in-hand with procurement and logistics colleagues, you will ensure smooth coordination of incoming shipments and third-party sourced goods. You will also take ownership of analysing slow-moving or obsolete stock items and implementing effective depletion plans. In this role, your attention to detail will shine through as you maintain accurate master data records essential for seamless material requirements planning (MRP). Leading regular DSE meetings will allow you to champion improvements in order processing and customer service delivery. Success in this position hinges on your ability to communicate clearly about potential shortages or bottlenecks while fostering positive relationships across functions. Your proactive approach will help maintain high service standards for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive stock replenishment plans by creating and following up on intra-company purchase orders (ICPO), including drop shipment orders to fulfil customer requirements efficiently.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement teams for third-party sourced products and collaborate with logistics partners to manage incoming shipments, ensuring timely product availability.
  • Take charge of inventory management within the planning area by responding proactively to demand fluctuations and implementing actions that maintain adequate inventory levels in line with service level agreements.
  • Analyse slow-moving inventory lists as well as expired or phase-out materials, executing depletion plans and monitoring sell-out progress to minimise dead stock effectively.
  • Communicate potential bottlenecks or expected shortages promptly to relevant stakeholders and seek support from other sites when necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Own the maintenance of master data for materials by overseeing all required steps and setting up related planning parameters such as MACU tables, PIRs, and source lists to ensure error-free MRP runs.
  • Lead weekly Demand Supply Execution (DSE) meetings focused on improving order processing and customer service areas to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product availability, inventory optimisation, slow mover reduction, bottleneck management, master data accuracy, and shortage alerts.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments by collaborating on shared goals and supporting team initiatives that drive operational excellence.
  • Contribute actively to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements within supply planning activities.

What you bring:

To excel as a Supply Planning Lead, your background should reflect proven expertise in orchestrating supply chain operations within fast-evolving industries such as textiles or chemicals. Your analytical acumen enables you to identify patterns within large datasets while your collaborative spirit ensures that solutions are implemented harmoniously alongside colleagues from procurement, logistics, sales, and beyond. Adaptability is second nature; whether juggling competing priorities or responding swiftly to unexpected changes in demand patterns, you remain calm under pressure. Above all else, your dedication to delivering exceptional service shines through every interaction—making you an indispensable member of any high-performing team.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field provides you with a solid academic foundation for this role.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in supply planning—ideally gained within the textile or chemical industry—enables you to navigate complex supply chain challenges confidently.
  • Proficiency in using advanced supply planning tools along with practical SAP experience ensures you can manage data-driven processes efficiently.
  • Familiarity with the textile industry gives you valuable insights into sector-specific requirements and best practices.
  • Excellent command of English (both verbal and written) is essential; additional language skills are highly regarded in this multicultural environment.
  • Well-developed computer literacy—including MS Office suite and Outlook—supports your ability to handle reporting tasks accurately.
  • Outstanding communication skills empower you to collaborate effectively across diverse teams while building trust-based relationships.
  • Strong analytical thinking combined with problem-solving abilities allows you to interpret data trends quickly and implement appropriate solutions under pressure.
