An exciting opportunity of Trade Compliance Senior Consultant has just come available in a global customs and international trade consulting firm. The position shall be the key person to expand business in Vietnam of the organisation and set up the local team here.

About the Trade Compliance Senior Consultant Role:

The Trade Compliance Senior Consultant can be base in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi office depending on preference. The position shall report to regional principal base in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advisory services regarding customs & international trade regulations to our global, regional, and local clients
• Leverage expertise in Vietnam import/export trade regulations, bonded warehouses, export controls, customs dispute resolution, valuation, classification, FTA management, disclosures and AEO assessment to consult for clients

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in HS Classification, Import/Export Regulations, Customs Valuation, FTAs, Export Controls, Bonded Warehouse , and other trade regulatory matters pertaining to Vietnam
• Minimum five years’ experience in customs & trade industry, with not less than three years in a consulting/advisory capacity
• Strong business acumen and communication skills
• Strong market and product knowledge
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to practically convey otherwise complex topics, in both English and Vietnamese
• Competent PC skills, including all Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English, both written and verbal
