About the Enterprise Data Architect Role:

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing the company's data architecture strategy, ensuring that it supports the organisation's overall goals and objectives. You will also work closely with other departments to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making and provide guidance on data management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a data architecture strategy that supports the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
• Define and maintain data models, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making and provide guidance on data management best practices
• Ensure that data security and privacy policies are implemented and adhered to
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team to ensure that data management best practices are followed
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for the company's data architecture, ensuring that it remains up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data management capabilities
• Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and maintain a data governance framework

To succeed in this role, you must have at least seven years as Enterprise Data Architect position.

Key Requirements:

• Over seven years of experience in complex data management scenarios
• Communicate the value of data at all levels
• Strong communication skills to connect people across different business units and roles
• Think and communicate the big picture for data while linking it to individual solutions
• Drive collaboration with technical architects at the enterprise and solution level
• Engage with business process architects
• Interest in the business processes and challenges of a company; experience in wholesale/retail domain is a plus
• Knowledgeable in modern software delivery and lifecycle management, including coding data processing pipelines or applications
• Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art data processing technologies and different database technologies like Relational, NoSQL, Data Lake
• Good knowledge of public clouds, specifically GCP
• Consulting mindset to share information and proactively support projects
• Guide and respect people while being an internal salesperson for all data-related topics
• Skills in data modeling and governance models and making them a reality in a large cooperation
• Strong methodology skills when engaging with business units and data teams
• Background in bringing AI/ML into business processes and understanding the role of data management in advanced solutions
• Knowledgeable in GDPR and other data privacy and security regulations
• Able to articulate the value of data quality and why it matters to everyone in a data-driven organisation
• Willingness to engage in hiring data people and mentoring them on their data savvy career path
• Familiarity with agile software delivery by teams spread across various locations
