Senior Data Scientist (AI Start-up)

About Company: Start-up (USA-based, building hub in Vietnam)

What you'll do:

• Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to identify data-driven opportunities that improve user engagement and product efficiency.

• Translating business and product objectives into analytical frameworks and modeling problems.

• Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and opportunities for new models or product features.

• Developing and evaluating statistical, predictive, and generative models using modern ML frameworks.

• Designing and executing A/B tests to assess the impact of models and product features.

• Building and maintaining reproducible workflows for data cleaning, feature engineering, and experiment tracking.

• Working with ML Engineers to productionize, deploy, and monitor models at scale.

What you'll need to apply:

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

• 3+ years of applied experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, experimentation design, and causal inference.

• Familiarity with big data tools like Spark, BigQuery, or Databricks.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving measurable impact.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with US-based cross-functional teams.

• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset typical of fast-paced startup environments.
