In this exciting role as the Regional Head of Digital, you will lead digital in region, coordinating between schools and central to deliver best in class digital performance marketing, including analytics, user experience and digital product management; ensuring our school websites are leading across SEO and usability metrics.

About the Regional Head of Digital Role:

In this critical role, you will be a individual contributor leading digital in region, coordinating between schools and central to deliver best in class digital performance marketing, including analytics, user experience and digital product management; ensuring our school websites are leading across SEO and usability metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent website quality and SEO, integrating best practice from the central digital team
    • Lead the implementation of technical and SEO improvements from central digital team into school websites
    • Lead the development of the user experience on our school websites: auditing content to ensure it is current and ensuring correct navigation and signposts
    • Working directly with the Regional Head of Marketing to ensure that the brand positioning for each school is reflected in their website
  • Consistently raise the standard of our paid digital activation
    • Own and be accountable for digital enquiry activity in region, including reporting and insights across all enquiry driving channels
    • Work with the central digital team to develop best practice standards for paid digital (e.g. PPC, Display, boosted posts)
    • Establish clear standards and measures of success for each channel / medium and develop a regular cadence of accountability with each school to review performance and take action
    • Lead the action plan to drive the efficiency of PPC campaigns, applying best practice to the user journey from search term through to relevant content
    • Define and implement the correct mix of direct adverts and boosted content
    • Define and implement the correct mix of search and display spend
    •  Work with the Regional Head of Marketing to ensure that school brand messages and visual identities are reflected in all content
  • Leverage regional scale with listing and referral partners
    • Continuously audit referral websites (listings, reviews, local information) that are high ranking for the most important search terms
    • Audit and work with each school to ensure presence in all appropriate referral sites
    • Work with the Central MAC team to develop regional and / or central agreements with referral partners that are active in multiple markets, leveraging economies of scale
  • Develop and implement appropriate digital tools to support communication with current parents in our schools
    • Develop expertise in mass mailing tools, leading the action plan for driving regional best practice and sharing data benchmarks (e.g. opening rates) between schools
    • Work with the Regional Head of Communications to identify content / headline best practice to improve opening and click through rates
    • Support the development and implementation of Parent Portals (e.g. Firefly)
    • Work with schools for any local parent mobile app development and with the central digital team to deliver any future NAE-wide initiatives
  • Support the Regional Admissions & CRM Manager and wider regional team in delivering high quality digital tools to support the Purchase stage of the Parent Experience Journey
    • Ensure Enquiry and Application forms are correct on all school websites and lead the integration into the new CRM system
    • Lead the development and implementation of any new parent app / portal developed centrally
    • Lead the development and implementation of PICS / Data privacy compliance across the regional family of schools
  • Develop, implement and continuously review annual digital plans based on (Google Analytics, Adwords and Social) data and analysis
    • Support the schools and region in the development of their annual plan
    • Own the Weekly and Monthly Google Analytics and PPC / SEM reports, developing appropriate insights and actions and following through to implementation
  • Provide appropriate leadership, coaching and best practice sharing to other members of the school and regional MAC teams
    • Provide supportive and focused leadership to enable the regional and school teams to reach their individual, team and regional goals
    • Act as a role-model to other members of the regional MAC Team and coach the best from them
    • Support the RDAM to develop a culture where the school engages as one and works to ensure admissions is a whole school responsibility
    • Contribute to the sharing of best practice in Digital Marketing across the MAC school teams, region and group

To succeed in this role, you will need to have good cross-cultural, interpersonal & communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications/Training
    • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience / Knowledge/ Skills
    • 5+ years working in a digital role in a marketing team / environment (agency or client side)
    • Experience of having worked within a service delivery sector, education sector experience a bonus
    • Strong analytical skills and evaluation of ROI, KPI
    • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks
    • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement
