About the Cloud Architect Role:

In this role, you will be designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement applications on AWS that are scalable, reliable, fault-tolerant, and highly available. Choose appropriate AWS services for designing and deploying applications based on specified requirements.
• Employ AWS migration tools for the smooth transition of applications/workloads to AWS
• Integrate AWS best practices and migration methodologies into the service delivery process
• Support cost optimisation through the application of strategies like cost-control, re-architecting, or modernisation
• Assess cloud application requirements and offer architectural recommendations for implementing, deploying, and provisioning applications on AWS
• Assist client success in sales-related tasks such as presentations, proposal development, demos, POC workshops, and the preparation of bidding materials
• Provide technical materials to persuade customers to opt for TechX services or products
• Collaborate and synchronise with the partner team and AWS in activities related to opportunity generation
• Attain mandatory certificates as agreed upon, aligning with the company's core competency

To succeed in this role, you must have at least five years intensively with AWS services.

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with foundational AWS services, including AWS EC2, AWS RDS, networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC Endpoint), and security services (IAM, AWS Network Firewall, WAF, security group)
• Proficiency and practical skills in Linux/Unix environments
• Basic knowledge of containerization and microservices, involving Docker and Kubernetes
• Preferably skilled in DevOps, utilizing AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. Familiarity with the Agile methodology
• Ability to explain and apply the five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Preferred capability to design a scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architecture using key AWS technologies
• Possesses soft skills, including problem-solving, effective communication, and presentation abilities
