About the Devops/ Cloud Engineer Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily administration of customer support and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a support team to ensure 24x7 cloud operations support
• Address customer service issues through email, phone, and web conference channels
• Collaborate with vendors for escalations related to cloud and virtualization-specific issues
• Proficient in utilising AWS-native security technologies and services like Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, AWS Config, Control Tower, various AWS Policies, Security Group, NACL, Systems Manager, etc.
• Carry out operational support, maintenance, and optimisation of hardware, software, and network communication links in the cloud infrastructure
• Validate, mitigate, and re-mediate identified vulnerabilities
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and trace activities across various cloud services to identify the root cause of incidents
• Offer advice and information to customers on general cloud infrastructure service offerings and best practices
• Manage incidents, follow up on problem resolution, and maintain regular communication with customers regarding open cases
• Generate reports for customers detailing cloud utilisation, service uptime, and incident information

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Information Technology or a relevant discipline
• Mandatory proficiency in both English and Mandarin
• Accumulate three to five years of hands-on experience with robust technical knowledge in two or more of the following areas in AWS, Azure, or any other Cloud Service Provider (CSP)
• Workload management & operation: backup & recovery, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, patch management, key management, cert management, secret management, logs and alerts management, vitalisation, storage, and databases
• Identity & access control, directory services, account & access management
• Policy management, governance, compliance, and data privacy
• Possess at least 1 cloud-based certification, such as Certified AWS Solution Architect Associate
• Have practical experience with infrastructure as code practices like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation
• Bonus if experienced in scripting
• Familiarity with AWS design, architecture, and services (e.g., EC2, IAM, S3) with a demonstrated history of building complex infrastructure
• Experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework (WAR), best practices, etc.
• Exhibit strong initiative, function well as a team player, enjoy taking ownership of issues, process-driven, pay great attention to details, and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and across organisations and external stakeholders
• Possess an analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills
