Our client is seeking a strategic and tactical Data Product Owner to manage the full lifecycle of data products within their domain. This role is an exciting opportunity to ensure that data products meet business needs and comply with data governance standards while enabling a self-service data culture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data operations, product management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of domain-specific data products

  • Promote data culture and adoption of data products across the organization


What you'll do:


As a Data Product Owner, your mission will be to work with the stakeholders across our Business, Engineering, Design and Data teams to define, build and grow customer experiences and services. You will bring your financial services and technology experience to facilitate the solutioning process with world class Product Engineering teams. Your role will also involve executing ‘multi-X’ strategy globally.

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of domain-specific data products, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Work with business, engineering, and data teams to define product features and requirements.
  • Define and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for data freshness, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Ensure data products are easily discoverable and usable by data consumers across the organization.
  • Develop a data product roadmap, balancing short-term business needs with long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure automated data pipelines and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Use metrics and feedback to continuously optimize data products.
  • Promote data culture and adoption of data products across the organization.


What you'll bring:


The ideal Data Product Owner will bring 5+ years of experience in data product management or a related role. They will have a strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in backlog management and sprint planning. They will also have an understanding of data architectures, pipelines, and governance in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure. Excellent collaboration skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to communicate data concepts across technical and non-technical teams. Knowledge of data governance frameworks and privacy regulations is also required. The successful candidate will be proficient in data analysis and decision-making using metrics, and capable of both high-level strategy and hands-on product management.

  • 5+ years in data product management or a related role, with domain expertise (e.g., finance, marketing).
  • Strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Understanding of data architectures, pipelines, and governance in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate data concepts across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Proficient in data analysis and decision-making using metrics.
  • Capable of both high-level strategy and hands-on product management.
