Program Manager

An exciting Program Manager job has arisen in a leading firm in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

About the Program Manager Role:

The Program Manager will report to the Senior Director of Program Management and be responsible for leading cross-functional teams: Product Management, Architecture, Development, QA, Operations, Security in developing project schedules and plans, as well as executing on those plans to meet the company's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience developing large-scale corporate software using agile approaches. They will be able to use their knowledge and experience to a wide range of operational difficulties that come with managing large-scale, geographically scattered projects, programs, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align organisational goals and objectives with engineering programs, projects, and teams in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management decision-makers
• Work closely with Product Management, Product Owners, Architects, and Designers to ensure that requirements are understood and transformed into a solution architecture and design for the product
• Development team leader to coordinate meetings between development teams and program management colleagues, driving appropriate decisions to ensure product components are delivered into the program as planned.
• Identify, re-mediate, disclose, or escalate technical and program hazards ahead of time
• Provide regular visibility into the status and metrics of the entire program and transform data into insights with supporting conclusions and recommendations
• Maintain open lines of communication among all project stakeholders, and assist them in managing technical and program changes
• Retrospectives help to drive ongoing improvement

To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Requirements:

• Five years of project or program management or scrum master experience with enterprise software businesses, exhibiting a strong understanding and familiarity with agile project management approaches.
• Experience with agile program management approaches such as SCRUM or SAFe for SaaS apps during the SDLC
• The capacity to see the "big picture" fuels a desire for delivery and client satisfaction.
• Ability to acquire the trust of stakeholders and senior management through interpersonal skills - ability to negotiate priorities with outside teams
• Courage, inclusivity, and pragmaticism, utilising servant leadership skills to influence and inspire people to achieve program objectives in a matrixed setting
• Ability to maintain a cool head in stressful times and to efficiently leverage and balance the workload of available resources
• Experience with Program/Portfolio management toolsets (JIRA/Portfolio/Confluence)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
