About the position:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join their dynamic team in Ho Chi Minh City. What you'll do:

As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in promoting Scrum theory, practices, principles, and values within your team. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that the standard Scrum process is effectively implemented. You will coach your team on how to use Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Working closely with developers and the Product Owner, you will help establish an Agile culture within your team. You will also identify any gaps in the Agile process or skills that need improvement. Your role will involve facilitating scrum events and other necessary meetings, guiding your team in removing impediments, fostering a trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame or judgement, and motivating your team towards continuous improvement.

  • Promote and support Scrum theory, practices, principles, and values within the team.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Scrum process.
  • Coach the team on using Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Work closely with developers and Product Owner to establish an Agile culture.
  • Identify gaps in the Agile process or skills for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog.
  • Facilitate scrum events and other necessary meetings.
  • Conflict resolution, servant leadership and decision making facilitate.
  • Guide the team in removing impediments and getting work done efficiently.
  • Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgement.
  • Motivate the scrum team towards continuous improvement and product owning.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Scrum Master role will have experience in a similar role for a software development team that diligently applies Scrum principles. You will possess excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts, and be proficient in English communication, both spoken and written. A working technical knowledge of software development processes, including design, development, test, and deployment is essential. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team is required, along with analytical skills for problem-solving and removing impediments. If you are a Certified Scrum Master, it would be an added advantage.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team applying Scrum principles diligently.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts.
  • Proficient English communication skills both spoken and written.
  • Working technical knowledge of software development processes including design, development, test, and deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Applicable knowledge of technologies used by the team.
  • Analytical skills for problem-solving and removing impediments.
  • Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
