About the Back-end Tech Lead (Java) Role:

The Technical Leader will drive the efficient delivery of change through analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements whilst identifying potential solutions using agile delivery frameworks.

Key responsibilities:

• Work in small, highly collaborative agile teams
• Align with stakeholders on best practices around APIs, security, compliance, roadmap, and reliability
• Help drive technical direction of software features
• Build highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable APIs to handle high-volume transactions

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Have a pragmatic mindset
• Have knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full development life cycle
• At least eight year's experience working in software development, strong candidates having fewer years of experience are also welcome
• Preferably have three years of experience in Java. Other general purpose programming languages are also considered
• Understand system design and tune for high performance, scalability and reliability
• Be strong at database and schema design for large-scale and finance systems
• Possess great problem-solving abilities
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with event-driven architecture or message queue system
• Have professional experience working with cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience in enterprise architecture
