An exciting Managing Director for a leading B2B marketplace platform has arisen in Hanoi.
About the Managing Director Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead our B2B marketplace platform as they focus on growth strategy and marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving their strategy, building and leading a team, and ensuring that the business meets its growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's growth strategy, with a strong focus on marketing and customer acquisition
- Lead and manage a team, including recruiting, mentoring, and coaching team members to deliver on business objectives
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement the company's overall strategy and vision
- Manage and optimise the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and partners
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform the company's strategy and priorities
- Support in key negotiations with suppliers to drive margin and payment terms
- Build brand and value proposition, through smart marketing, website optimisation, and merchandising
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all areas of the business
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role in a B2B e-commerce or technology with background in both startup and corporate, preferably more than six years of experience
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to leverage data to translate vision into action and drive results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and customer acquisition
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
