What you'll do:

- Develop comprehensive tax strategies that optimise the company’s tax position while ensuring full compliance with evolving Vietnamese laws, including identifying potential savings and assessing legislative impacts.
- Oversee the timely and accurate submission of all required local and national tax filings for multiple entities, maintaining rigorous standards of compliance across the board.
- Manage intricate tax computations and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements while leading audits as the main point of contact for consultants and authorities.
- Provide clear advice and interpretation on complex tax regulations affecting all areas of operation, evaluating the implications of new business initiatives from a tax perspective.
- Take responsibility for obtaining and renewing all necessary licenses, permits, and registrations, maintaining an up-to-date database to support seamless business operations.
- Handle all aspects of land-use-right matters including agreements, title issues, negotiations, and effective collaboration with relevant parties to resolve disputes efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to review and negotiate complex contracts, ensuring they align with current tax regulations while proactively identifying potential risks.
- Establish strong relationships with government authorities and tax officials by acting as the primary contact for all tax-related matters, representing the company’s interests effectively.
- Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to integrate tax compliance into daily operations, provide targeted training sessions, and drive continuous improvement in related processes.
- Maintain meticulous records of all tax and compliance documents while preparing detailed reports for senior management to ensure robust internal controls are upheld.
What you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field is essential; holding a professional tax qualification would be considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in managing tax functions within multinational B2B environments—preferably within food processing or manufacturing sectors—showcasing your ability to navigate complex organisational structures.
- Proven track record in developing effective tax strategies, handling multifaceted issues, leading successful audits, and liaising constructively with authorities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Vietnamese taxation laws (including VAT, CIT, PIT), customs regulations, international taxation frameworks, and best practices in compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities enable you to collaborate seamlessly across departments as well as externally with consultants or officials.
- Capacity to work both independently when required but also collaboratively within cross-functional teams—demonstrating flexibility in approach depending on project needs.
- Highly developed analytical skills combined with meticulous attention to detail allow you to identify risks early on while delivering accurate results under pressure.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English as well as Vietnamese ensures effective communication across diverse stakeholder groups.
