What you'll do:
As a Product Developer in the Printing & Packaging sector, your role will be pivotal in driving product strategies through collaboration with various teams. You'll be responsible for managing vendor relationships, creating detailed tech packs for all products, and ensuring that product samples meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in researching market trends to enhance packaging performance and sustainability. Additionally, you'll maintain regular communication with both internal teams and external vendors while conducting prototyping, testing, and validation of packaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product strategies
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, timelines, and quality requirements
- Create comprehensive tech packs for all products
- Review and approve product samples ensuring compliance with quality and specifications
- Participate in fit sessions making necessary adjustments for optimal product performance
- Research market trends to enhance packaging performance and sustainability
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external vendors addressing any issues
- Conduct prototyping, testing, and validation of packaging meeting functionality and regulatory standards
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Product Developer role brings a wealth of knowledge from their Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field along with 3 years of experience in the Printing/Packaging industry. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and design software like Adobe Illustrator or CAD software will be essential. Your understanding of packaging materials, printing methods and production processes will be key to your success. Excellent project management skills are required as you'll be handling multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail are also vital.
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field
- 3 years of experience in the Printing/Packaging industry or other relevant fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or CAD software
- Knowledge of packaging materials, printing methods and production processes
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good connection with suppliers and manufacturers in packaging development
