What you'll do:
As Maintenance Manager, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that all production machinery and facility equipment operate at peak efficiency. Your day-to-day activities will involve supervising a dedicated team of technicians, coordinating with external partners for installations or repairs, and proactively addressing any issues that arise on the shop floor. You will be expected to maintain rigorous inspection routines, monitor key performance indicators such as MTTR and MTBF, and implement strategies that reduce downtime while maximising productivity. - Monitor machine breakdowns, analyse mean time to repair (MTTR) and mean time between failures (MTBF), implementing corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability.
- Provide comprehensive training, coaching, and direction to shift technicians, fostering their familiarity with equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Respond promptly to shop floor emergencies by identifying root causes of failures, conducting thorough analyses, recommending corrective measures, and overseeing parts replacement.
- Maintain detailed activity logs and update machine history records to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage spare parts inventory by recording usage patterns, advising on stock levels, and ensuring availability of critical components at all times.
- Collaborate with machine manufacturers for technical support, driving process improvements and integrating new technologies as needed.
- Lead the implementation of MIS/ISO/5S systems within the maintenance department while upholding strict adherence to industrial safety protocols.

- Demonstrated expertise in installing and commissioning machinery for greenfield projects within foreign-invested manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SAP-PM is essential for managing maintenance schedules, tracking work orders, and optimising resource allocation across the plant.
- Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting techniques as well as experience working with integrated automation systems is necessary for effective problem-solving.
- Experience preparing annual budgets for maintenance departments including planning preventive maintenance activities aligned with organisational objectives.
- A proven track record in training subordinates—delivering coaching sessions that improve technical skills while promoting safe work practices among team members.
- Excellent command of both verbal and written English is required to facilitate clear communication across multicultural teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with monitoring fuel/power consumption trends coupled with the ability to implement controls that optimise energy usage throughout the facility.
