A leading manufacturing organisation in Kien Giang is seeking a Plant Electrical Maintenance Manager to oversee the electrical maintenance department and ensure the highest standards of equipment reliability, safety, and operational excellence. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving key performance indicators, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. You will be instrumental in managing complex maintenance operations, optimising costs, and developing your team’s capabilities within a supportive environment that values professional growth and knowledge sharing. If you are passionate about electrical engineering, thrive on responsibility, and are committed to maintaining high-quality standards while respecting environmental policies, this is your chance to join an organisation where your expertise will be valued and your contributions recognised.

  • Play a crucial role in ensuring plant safety, equipment reliability, and compliance with environmental regulations while supporting ongoing production needs.
  • Lead a dedicated team of professionals in delivering effective maintenance strategies, cost optimisation plans, and continuous staff development programmes.
  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities, comprehensive training support, and the chance to work on impactful projects that shape the future of heavy industry operations.

What you'll do:

As Plant Electrical Maintenance Manager based in Kien Giang, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical systems across the facility. Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing a skilled team responsible for maintaining critical equipment such as substations and power plants. You will design robust maintenance schedules that maximise uptime while minimising costs through strategic resource allocation. By monitoring key performance indicators closely, you will identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance both efficiency and safety. Your responsibilities extend beyond technical oversight: you will also nurture talent within your team by providing coaching, implementing structured training programmes, and fostering open communication channels. In addition to managing large-scale CAPEX projects—including plant shutdowns—you will champion best practices in occupational health & safety as well as environmental stewardship. Success in this position requires balancing operational demands with long-term planning while always prioritising the wellbeing of your colleagues.

  • Oversee all aspects of the electrical maintenance department to guarantee high availability and reliability of plant equipment while adhering strictly to safety regulations and environmental policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor periodical maintenance plans as well as equipment improvement strategies to achieve departmental KPIs within budget constraints.
  • Supervise the connection and operation of substations (110KV), WHR power plants, diesel power plants, and ensure seamless integration with the national grid for uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Manage CAPEX projects from assessment through execution, including plant shutdown planning and safe project delivery according to schedule.
  • Control annual health & safety plans alongside environmental management objectives for the department, ensuring full compliance among all staff members.
  • Provide clear instruction, induction, training, and supervision to staff so that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently in line with company standards.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions following hazard or incident reports to maintain zero harm outcomes for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Review departmental budgets regularly; propose cost-saving measures; monitor expenses closely; and develop strategies for critical equipment overhauls without exceeding financial plans.
  • Coach, consult with, and motivate subordinates by developing succession plans, individual development plans (IDPs), competency frameworks, training schedules, KPIs, and performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with other functional departments to coordinate training courses for staff development while recognising achievements and addressing areas for improvement promptly.

What you bring:

To excel as Plant Electrical Maintenance Manager you will bring not only technical expertise but also exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to connect with colleagues at every level. Your background should include substantial hands-on experience within heavy industry sectors—ideally cement production—where you have managed both routine maintenance operations and large-scale capital projects. Your approach is grounded in empathy: you understand how important it is to provide clear guidance while nurturing professional growth among your team members. You are comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments related to health & safety as well as environmental protection. Your analytical mindset allows you to interpret data from various sources (including SAP/IOPX) so that informed decisions can be made quickly when challenges arise. Above all else you are dependable—a trusted partner who ensures that every task is completed responsibly without compromising quality or compliance.

  • Hold at least a diploma in electrical engineering or higher qualification relevant to industrial plant operations.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (TOEIC 600 or equivalent) with strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Possess advanced computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel), MS Project scheduling tools, AutoCAD drafting software, SAP enterprise resource planning systems, and IOPX indicator analysis.
  • Bring a minimum of five years’ experience working within cement or heavy industry environments where high-volume production is standard practice.
  • Have at least three years’ proven track record in a maintenance management position overseeing teams responsible for complex electrical systems.
  • Showcase leadership competencies such as collaborative problem-solving abilities; customer- and market-focused thinking; willingness to challenge conventions constructively; capacity to engage others positively; talent attraction; staff development; and building cohesive teams.
  • Display deep understanding of occupational health & safety requirements along with environmental policy adherence specific to industrial settings.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills when managing multiple projects simultaneously—especially during CAPEX initiatives or major plant shutdowns—while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase.
  • Demonstrate ability to review budgets critically; propose actionable cost-saving measures; monitor expenditures effectively; and report on cost improvement outcomes clearly.
