What you'll do:
As a Senior Production Manager based in Binh Duong with oversight extending to Ho Chi Minh City operations, you will be entrusted with establishing a world-class production team from the ground up. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve implementing advanced manufacturing concepts in a brand-new facility while ensuring that all ramp-up activities meet stringent KPIs for cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and timely output. You will translate strategic business objectives into clear actions for your team—fostering collaboration across departments such as Quality Assurance, Planning & Scheduling, Logistics & Warehouse Management—and championing continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence. By managing budgets effectively and promoting best practices throughout the organisation’s network of plants, you will help create an environment where safety is paramount and every stakeholder feels valued. Your ability to inspire others through transparent communication and empathetic leadership will be crucial in developing future leaders within your team while supporting overall business continuity.
* Build and develop a high-performing production team for a newly established greenfield factory, ensuring all members are aligned with organisational values and objectives.
* Implement robust production concepts in the new facility, overseeing the ramp-up process to meet or exceed all key performance indicators related to cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
* Lead strategic initiatives that support both short-term operational targets and mid-term business plans, translating company goals into actionable metrics for the workforce.
* Oversee daily operations across the production unit, ensuring optimal resource allocation for seamless execution of activities while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
* Support and drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing production costs, improving productivity and quality metrics such as Fill Rate On Time (FROT), and minimising lead times.
* Ensure strict adherence to CAPEX and OPEX budgets by providing input into budget planning processes and monitoring financial performance against set targets.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product Quality, Facility Management, Process Excellence (PEx), Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Warehouse, HR Business Partners—to resolve technical issues promptly and prioritise critical activities.
* Manage shop-floor operations to guarantee consistent product quality, on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost, including providing support during night shifts as required.
* Promote knowledge sharing by incorporating best practices across manufacturing processes and facilitating learning between different production units and functional teams.
* Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring all activities comply with internal policies as well as external regulations; proactively address non-compliance or safety incidents.
What you bring:
To excel as a Senior Production Manager in this forward-thinking organisation, you will bring extensive experience from large-scale manufacturing settings—ideally within process-driven industries—where you have demonstrated both technical proficiency and inspirational leadership. Your background should include not only deep knowledge of production engineering but also substantial exposure to managing multidisciplinary teams through periods of change or rapid growth. Experience launching new facilities (especially greenfield sites) will set you apart as someone capable of navigating complexity while delivering tangible results. Your approach should be grounded in empathy: you understand how to connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds while encouraging open dialogue around shared objectives. A track record of successful project management—particularly involving cross-functional collaboration—is essential. You are comfortable using digital tools like ERP systems (SAP preferred) alongside standard office applications; your bilingual communication skills enable you to bridge gaps between local teams and international stakeholders seamlessly. Above all else, your ability to plan strategically yet act decisively ensures that both immediate operational needs and longer-term ambitions are met without compromise.
* A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field—or at least 10 years’ experience in manufacturing management within process-oriented operations or similar industries.
* At least 10 years of hands-on experience demonstrating strong technical skills in Production Engineering within large-scale manufacturing environments.
* A minimum of 5 years’ proven success at management level leading diverse production teams towards shared goals.
* Experience in greenfield factory setup is highly desirable; candidates who have overseen new facility launches will be particularly well regarded.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration; able to foster trust-based relationships across multiple levels of the organisation.
* Demonstrated project management expertise working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects under tight deadlines.
* A positive attitude combined with resilience; able to motivate teams through challenges while maintaining focus on solutions rather than obstacles.
* Excellent planning and organisational abilities; adept at balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic projects without compromising quality or compliance.
* Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software and ERP/MES systems (preferably SAP) is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in both Vietnamese and English—listening, speaking, reading, writing—with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
