Legal & Compliance Counsel

Mid-level - In-house - Hanoi - Manufacturing

Our client, a Manufacturing MNC is looking for a new and sole Legal & Compliance Counsel in Vietnam to be based 3 x / week in their factory near Hanoi.

Reporting line: regional counsel

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Daily work on purchase agreements and sale agreements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, guiding the business on legal and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement policies to promote ethical business practices and mitigate risks.
• Lead compliance training and advise on global and local compliance issues, including anti-corruption and anti-bribery.
• Handle corporate governance, regulatory processes and investigations.
• Manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory challenges.
• Conduct investigations into potential violations and oversee compliance initiatives.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and support strategic projects.

Qualifications:

• Vietnamese qualified Lawyer (Lawyer Card is a MUST)
• At least 5 years of experience in Legal and Compliance
• Previous experience working in-house in Manufacturing or Electronics
• Full proficiency in English and Vietnamese
• Independent, fast thinker and problem solving skills
• Strong legal, commercial and compliance knowledge.
• Sharp communication skills
