This role offers you the chance to oversee a large and dynamic team, directly influencing the efficiency and effectiveness of planning and delivery processes that serve a diverse market. You will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between market demand and production capabilities, ensuring seamless communication and optimal resource utilisation across multiple departments. The position promises not only professional growth but also the satisfaction of making a tangible impact on business outcomes through strategic decision-making and collaborative leadership. With a supportive environment that values flexibility, initiative, and continuous improvement, this is an ideal setting for someone who thrives on responsibility and enjoys working closely with both internal teams and external partners.
- Be at the heart of cross-departmental communication, ensuring that market needs are consistently met through effective planning, timely delivery, and strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Enjoy the opportunity to make meaningful decisions that directly affect business performance, all within an inclusive workplace that encourages knowledge sharing, personal development, and flexible working practices.
What you'll do:
As Supply Chain Planning Senior Manager, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted role where your ability to coordinate complex processes will be key to success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around managing a sizeable team dedicated to planning and delivering products efficiently across multiple channels. You will work collaboratively with colleagues from sales, marketing, production, and beyond—ensuring that every link in the supply chain is connected seamlessly. By developing robust forecasts tailored to each product group and distribution channel, you will help maintain balance between what customers want and what production can deliver. Your keen attention to detail will enable you to monitor progress at factories closely; when discrepancies arise between planned output and actual results, your quick thinking will keep everything on track. Supporting farm-to-factory supply chains is another vital aspect of your role—helping guarantee that raw materials are always available when needed. Through proactive communication with both internal teams and external partners such as suppliers or retailers, you will ensure that everyone stays informed about current capacities so orders can be adjusted promptly. Ultimately, your efforts will drive improvements in accuracy, timeliness, resource utilisation—and most importantly—customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the daily operations of the planning and delivery department, ensuring all activities align with organisational goals and market requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between the market department and production teams, balancing customer demand with manufacturing capabilities to achieve optimal results.
- Develop detailed forecasts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for various distribution channels and product groups including poultry, pork, and processed goods.
- Monitor production plans versus actual output at two major factories, providing real-time updates to address any variances swiftly and effectively.
- Support factory teams in coordinating supply to ensure uninterrupted production flows and timely fulfilment of orders.
- Communicate daily supply information from production to the market department, enabling agile adjustments to orders based on current capacity and customer needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors or delays in planning and delivery processes while enhancing overall accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, production, and other related departments to guarantee smooth operations throughout the supply chain.
- Establish strong working relationships with external partners such as suppliers, agents, restaurants, supermarkets, companies, schools, and more to facilitate efficient sales operations and superior customer service.
- Exercise authority over all demand planning activities while contributing valuable insights to higher-level strategic decisions.
What you bring:
To excel as Supply Chain Planning Senior Manager, your background should reflect substantial experience within supply chain management or manufacturing environments—ideally involving direct oversight of large teams responsible for end-to-end planning functions. Your academic credentials underpin your understanding of business fundamentals while your career history demonstrates proven success in roles requiring close coordination between market-facing departments (such as sales or marketing) and operational units (like production or logistics). You bring not only technical expertise but also outstanding interpersonal skills: building rapport comes naturally whether you're collaborating internally or negotiating externally. Your approach is grounded in empathy—you listen carefully before acting—and your leadership style emphasises mutual respect alongside accountability. Analytical by nature yet pragmatic in execution, you thrive on turning data into actionable insights that drive measurable improvements across key performance indicators. Above all else, your commitment to continuous learning ensures that both you—and those around you—are always growing together.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing (or a related field) provides you with essential theoretical foundations for this senior management role.
- At least five years’ experience in a similar position within supply chain management or manufacturing equips you with practical know-how for overseeing complex operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles combined with hands-on experience in production planning enables you to anticipate challenges before they arise.
- Proficiency in English allows you to communicate effectively across diverse teams and international partners.
- Your problem-solving abilities empower you to identify issues quickly while implementing solutions that benefit both customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- Demonstrated people management skills mean you can inspire trust among your team members while nurturing their professional growth through supportive leadership.
- Strategic vision helps you see the bigger picture—aligning departmental objectives with broader business goals for maximum impact.
- Analytical thinking ensures that your decisions are data-driven; you use historical trends alongside real-time information to refine forecasts continuously.
- Initiative is one of your hallmarks; you proactively seek out opportunities for process improvement rather than waiting for problems to occur.
- Flexibility allows you to adapt smoothly when priorities shift or unexpected challenges emerge.
