Finance Director (Manufacturing)

An international manufacturing company is seeking a Finance Director to oversee all finance and accounting matter at its export-focused Binh Duong facility. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this leader will drive cost control and production efficiency through strategic financial management.

What you'll do:

• Drive operational excellence by managing cash flow, forecasting, and liquidity to safeguard business continuity
• Deliver clear and insightful monthly financial reports to Management team, highlighting factory performance and trends
• Act as the key contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities, ensuring smooth external relationships
• Establish rigorous cost control practices, auditing Bills of Materials (BOM) to detect inefficiencies and material waste
• Conduct variance analysis between standard and actual costs, investigating discrepancies in raw materials and labor
• Provide accurate product costing to support sales quotations and protect profit margins
• Supervise inventory management, leading monthly stock counts and reconciling system data with physical checks
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose corrective actions
• Review and approve purchase orders in line with budget and cash flow priorities
• Manage supplier payments strategically to balance strong relationships with working capital optimisation
• Ensure compliance with Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and all relevant tax obligations
• Oversee VAT refund processes for export goods to strengthen cash flow
• Implement and reinforce internal controls to prevent fraud, leakage, or asset misappropriation

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant.
• 10–15 years of work experience in Finance and Accounting for Manufacturing businesses, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
• Expertise in cost accounting / product costing / cost controlling required.
• Deep knowledge of Vietnam tax law and VAS regulations.
• Proficient in ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English required.
• Able to travel regularly to the factory (transportation allowance provided); working hours include Monday-Saturday.
