Reporting to the CFO, you will lead financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and governance while supporting complex enterprise contracts and bespoke commercial agreements. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong controllership background in a B2B software, IT services, or technology business.


What you'll do:

As Financial Controller in Jakarta for this leading B2B technology company, you will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and statutory requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the financial close process across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles; ensuring adherence to accounting standards; reviewing complex customer contracts for correct accounting treatment; partnering with various departments on revenue recognition; driving improvements in finance processes; managing balance sheet reconciliations; overseeing cash management; coordinating audits; implementing recommendations; mentoring your team; and upholding corporate governance.   • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with local accounting standards.
  • Oversee statutory reporting requirements, audits, tax compliance, and regulatory filings while maintaining robust internal controls throughout all finance operations.
  • Review complex customer contracts and bespoke commercial agreementsto determine appropriate accounting treatment for enterprise software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, managed services, and milestone-based billing arrangements.
  • Drive continuous improvements in finance processes by developing and monitoring policies and procedures that enhance reporting accuracy and control effectiveness.
  • Manage balance sheet integrity through comprehensive reconciliation processes while overseeing cash management, working capital optimisation, and treasury controls.
  • Coordinate relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as successful completion of internal and external audits.
  • Implement audit recommendations promptly while promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and ongoing improvement within the finance department.
  • Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team by fostering an environment of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies by upholding high standards of integrity in all financial activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required for this position along with CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting including significant experience in financial controllership roles within B2B software or technology environments.
  • Proven track record managing complex financial operations for enterprise software licensing agreements, managed services engagements or multi-year enterprise contracts.
  • Deep knowledge of local accounting standards combined with hands-on experience in statutory reporting requirements as well as audit coordination for multinational or high-growth businesses.
  • Excellent understanding of internal controls frameworks plus practical experience implementing governance policies across finance functions.
  • Expertise in revenue recognition for software products as well as technology services including milestone-based billing arrangements or hybrid implementation contracts.
  • Strong audit management skills paired with familiarity handling local tax regulations plus statutory obligations relevant to Indonesia’s business landscape.
  • Experience using ERP systems alongside demonstrated ability to drive finance process improvements that enhance accuracy or efficiency.
  • Ability to assess accounting implications for bespoke commercial arrangements while evaluating financial risk associated with customised pricing structures or SLAs.
  • Effective people leader capable of mentoring high-performing teams through collaborative approaches that foster accountability plus continuous learning.
