Accounting Leader (Shared Service Center)

A global organization is establishing its brand-new Accounting Shared Services Center (SSC) in Vietnam. We are looking for the very first pioneer members to get onboard and shape this world-class operation from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality accounting services across multiple European clients, ensuring compliance with international standards while benefiting from flexible working opportunities and ongoing training.

What you'll do:

• Deliver accurate and timely accounting services for multiple European clients as part of an established shared service centre, ensuring all financial transactions comply with relevant regulations.
• Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements in accordance with local GAAP requirements and internal policies, maintaining meticulous attention to detail at every stage.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met and reporting is consistent across sites.
• Collaborate closely with auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities, reconciling discrepancies promptly while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders across different countries.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or process improvements by sharing insights gained from previous shared service centre or audit experience.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, cooperation, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards by staying updated on changes in accounting regulations.
• Participate actively in regular team meetings to share best practices, address challenges collaboratively, and contribute ideas for enhancing service delivery.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Auditing is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in similar roles in an accounting shared services center (SSC) or an audit role handling multi-sites operations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and end-to-end month/year-end closing.
• Excellent English skills to partner with diverse global stakeholders, external auditors, and to mentor junior team members.
• Proactive learner focused on regulatory updates, strong ethics, and a positive team attitude.
