Director Commercial Finance (Global FMCG)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Director Commercial Finance to join a global FMCG company based in HCMC, Vietnam. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality financial insights and management information to the Commercial Team, guiding decisions that propel the commercial strategy and drive the company’s objectives forward.

What you'll do:

As Director Commercial Finance, your role will be central to driving the company's objectives forward. You will be responsible for providing high-quality financial insights that guide decision-making within the Commercial Team. Your expertise will be crucial in developing pricing strategies, implementing excise strategies, and overseeing the commercial finance reporting process. You will also play a key role in gathering competition data and conducting financial assessments for the Area SLA. Your ability to analyse RTM opportunities will support business growth across the region. Furthermore, you will evaluate trade activities to ensure they provide meaningful benefits through detailed financial review. Your contribution will also extend to aiding in designing commercial information systems and performing pre- and post-project evaluations. A key part of your role will be elevating financial awareness within the Commercial function.

• Develop and execute pricing strategies for the market, thoroughly analysing commercial and financial impacts.
• Implement excise strategies, assessing their financial and commercial outcomes.
• Oversee the commercial finance reporting process and maintain strong communication with regional and global teams.
• Gather, assess, and report competition data, delivering timely and detailed analyses.
• Conduct financial and commercial assessments for the Area SLA.
• Analyse RTM opportunities to support business growth across the region.
• Evaluate trade activities to ensure they provide meaningful benefits through detailed financial and commercial review.
• Aid in designing and implementing commercial information systems.
• Perform pre- and post-project evaluations to ensure goals are met and key learnings are captured.
• Elevate financial awareness within the Commercial function, focusing on the implications of marketing decisions.

What you bring:

• Relevant Degree along with CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA certification.
• At least 8 years of experience in manaagement level in a global FMCG or similarly dynamic environment.
• Experience interacting with senior and external stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of finance systems such as SAP.
• Strong expertise in strategic analysis, planning, and performance metrics in large global organisations.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Solid commercial acumen and project management capabilities.
• Creative, proactive, and able to challenge the status quo by introducing new standards and practices.
