Head of Finance & Accounting (Greenfield Setup)

An exceptional opportunity awaits a Head of Finance & Accounting to join a thriving multinational company at its newly established manufacturing site, with office based in Ho Chi Minh City. Reporting directly to the General Director, this pivotal role offers the chance to build robust financial foundations, ensure compliance, and drive sustainable growth while collaborating closely with the Vietnam Leadership Team as well as the global finance lead in Europe.

What you'll do:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Oversee all general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of reporting.
• Prepare and deliver insightful financial management reports to guide decision-making and enhance profitability.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and external audits.
• Manage cashflow and treasury functions, including working capital optimization and banking relationships.
• Establish foundational systems for finance and accounting, including ERP implementation.
• Develop frameworks for EPE (Export Processing Enterprise) operations in accounting and tax.
• Act as a trusted partner to the Leadership Team and build a high-performing Finance team as the business scales.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; professional qualifications (ACCA, CMA, etc.) preferred and Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years in Finance & Accounting, with proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance e.g. costing methodology, accounting standards; EPE experience is a plus.
• Chief Accountant Certificate is mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently in the early stages, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English; great stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
