Finance Manager (life science sector)

A leading regional solutions provider in the life science sector is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City. What you'll do:

• Mentor and guide the finance team by fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Oversee all aspects of daily finance operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies.
• Manage the full set of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, cash flow management, as well as month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare timely monthly management reports, comprehensive financial statements, detailed cashflow analyses, and accurate forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead the preparation of yearly forecasts and budgets by collaborating closely with relevant departments to align financial planning with organisational goals.
• Calculate commissions for sales personnel with precision while maintaining transparent records for audit purposes.
• Handle VAT filings and monthly income tax submissions while liaising effectively with auditors, banks, and other key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review or process bank guarantee and letter of credit applications as required by business needs.
• Compile government statistics returns accurately within stipulated deadlines to meet statutory obligations.
• Undertake any ad-hoc duties assigned by senior management to support evolving business requirements.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance. Equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is highly preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles with a minimum of 2 years spent supervising or leading teams.
• Prior experience in a product-driven environment, with a strong grasp of supply chain and inventory metrics.
• Comprehensive understanding of local tax regulations along with strong business acumen enables effective compliance management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel alongside experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar system)
• Excellent analytical abilities empower you to interpret complex financial data accurately for reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams enhances overall organisational performance.
• Effective communication skills in English.
