Head of Finance (healthcare sector)
A leading organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking a Head of Finance to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for you to shape financial strategy, drive business performance, and work closely with both local and regional stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with local accounting standards and international frameworks.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes by collaborating closely with business stakeholders at both local and regional sites to deliver insightful analysis.
- Manage cashflow effectively by monitoring liquidity, optimising resources, and providing timely updates to senior management on financial health.
- Ensure full tax and statutory compliance by coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, preparing necessary documentation, and supporting audit processes.
- Act as a trusted business partner by leveraging your financial expertise to support decision-making across multiple functions within the organisation.
- Provide detailed business partnering and financial analysis for stakeholders in local and regional offices, helping them understand key drivers of performance.
- Participate actively in local, regional, and global projects by contributing financial insights that drive successful outcomes.
- Develop strong inter-personal connections with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility for financial targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimisation within finance operations.
- Champion knowledge sharing within the finance team by mentoring junior staff members and promoting best practices.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting. Professional qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience with operational and team management responsibility.
- Familiarity with the operational and regulatory dynamics of the Healthcare / Life Sciences sector.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP (SAP, Oracle or similar professional systems).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to partner, influence, and align with multi-tier stakeholders across local, regional, and global matrices.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams by demonstrating empathy, dependability, and sensitivity to different perspectives.
