An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a thriving organisation based in Ho Chi Minh City. What you'll do:

  • Collect, calculate, and analyse production costs by closely monitoring raw materials, labour expenses, and overheads to ensure accurate cost allocation throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor standard costs regularly and update cost systems as needed to reflect true production expenses while maintaining up-to-date records in SAP.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis between standard and actual costs; investigate discrepancies thoroughly and provide clear explanations to management.
  • Oversee project costing activities from the initial quoting stage through to the hand-over phase, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately tracked and reported.
  • Manage standard costing processes within SAP to guarantee consistency and reliability of financial data across all projects and departments.
  • Track inventory usage meticulously, reconcile stock data periodically, and ensure precise cost allocation for all inventory movements.
  • Participate actively in periodic physical inventory counts at various locations; verify material consumption against records to maintain integrity of inventory data.
  • Monitor and evaluate COGS as well as inventory valuation processes to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Administer fixed asset management by recording transactions, reconciling balances, maintaining documentation, and leading annual asset counts across all sites.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and established accounting standards.

What you bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as Accounting Manager or similar roles, ideally within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Accounting: Proficiency in hands-on cost & material control.
  • Compliance & Standards: Thorough familiarity with both VAS and IFRS.
  • Systems & Tools: Hands-on SAP experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to investigate variances, analyze complex financial data, and provide actionable management insights.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to bridge the gap between finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with a track record of driving process improvements.
